Cruella Devil…Mistaken Identity!
“Daddy, look…look it’s her,” the tiny one in the cart whispered and pointed. The man who appears to be her father, blushes and puts his index finger to his lips to quiet the child with sheer hope that I have not heard her. Again, she squeals, “daddy, get closer, it’s really her. The lady in the dog movie!” I look up from my cart and realize the child is pointing and whispering in my direction. Thus, I look over my shoulder thinking that someone REALLY interesting or famous is standing behind me near by. It is the fathers’ embarrassed reaction that I realize she is pointing at ME! Oh, Oh…whom does she think I am?? So I ask the father, “who does she think I am?” He mumbles..”xosjfbjf.” Could you repeat that please, I didn’t hear you, I asked. “She thinks you are Cruella Devil.” I burst out laughing, “Cruella Devil!! I love the 101 Dalmatians Movie!” … “I am sorry sweetie, I am not Cruella, but my hair does look a little like hers. Thank you for making my day. I don’t have 101 dalmatians, only 101 children (or so it feels sometimes).” The hair that has a life of it’s own and a mistaken identity……..
