When I cried to my mother in heart broken anguish, “I feel horrible, this is horrible… why Mom, why doesn’t he get me?” The wise woman that she was and continues to be, responded, “there is a lid for every pot. You will find a lid.” … Lid shmid… I was 13 years old. I thought I was going to die, I felt so crushed. I would never ever feel right…so I called HER, knowing she would understand. After endless hours and days and years of listening to me ask, “WHY??” The subject and relationships have changed over time. Yet, she responds without words or answers, but with what’s missing, the other half…always.
