Hole in the steps

There is a hole in our steps that I never noticed. It took a summer rain storm for me to notice her house. The home of Madame Black furry spider. She had spun such a strong front door that she remained dry and protected as the wind and the rain swirled around her. The only remnants of the storm were droplets of rain glistening in the aftermath upon her front door.

An Amber Moment…

As humans our natural instinct is to search and articulate “the why.” Yet when amber is observed with our human eye we are in awe of it’s unique property of preserving a physical moment in time, exactly and forever.

Unlike amber, the awe of such timepieces is that of human design and creativity. For me it is a visual cue that our time is up … “But I have two minutes left, I will use all the time that belongs to me.”…tick, tick tick… I ask myself, “WHY isn’t there more time?” There is no “more” or “less” time…according to amber!

Note to self; “make sure brain gets the memo!”
