I saw him out of the corner of my eye, while I stood pretending to listen to the analyzing comments from those that had just arrived, while they surveyed the room for potential.
I tried to listen to the conversation, yet I was distracted by the way he moved with such flair, confidence and intent. The way he moved his hands when he spoke. The way he put his hand under his chin while listening to the one that engaged him.
When his conversation ended, he walked toward me, I inhaled holding my breath. As I opened my mouth to greet him, he walked past, not seeing, to ask another to dance…
